Liposuction Surgery in Turkey Cost
Home » Liposuction »Liposuction surgery in Turkey is performed under general anesthesia under hospital conditions. The operation usually takes between 1.5 – 2.5 hours. This surgery does not have a fatal risk. It is a cosmetic procedure and does not treat any medical condition. It is possible to perform liposuction locally depending on the fat distribution of the patient.
Liposuction is based on removing fat tissues and deposits through vacuum. Any excess skin is then surgically removed. Liposuction does not help with weight loss. Majority of the patients view liposuction as a means of weight loss to look thinner and fitter. However, this operation does not aim to make the person thinner, but to remove that fat that remains after weight loss.
After Liposuction
It is normal to have some degree of pain and bruising after liposuction in turkey . We use dissolvable stitches for this operation that do not need to be removed by a doctor. As this operation is considered a major surgery, the patient will need to be followed up by their doctor following the treatment. It is crucial to follow the doctor’s advice and directions.
We request our patients to regularly come in for follow-up examinations. This follow-up procedure usually lasts 1 month. These appointments do not include any further interventions or medical treatment. They only aim to make sure that the recovery process is going as expected without any ruptured sutures or any possible bleedings.
Should I get liposuction or a tummy tuck?
Choosing between liposuction and a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) depends on your individual goals, body type, and specific concerns. Here are some key differences to help you make an informed decision:
Liposuction:
- Purpose: Primarily removes excess fat from targeted areas.
- Best For: Individuals with good skin elasticity who want to reduce fat in specific areas.
- Recovery: Generally quicker than a tummy tuck. Involves less pain and scarring.
- Results: Can sculpt and contour areas but does not address excess skin or muscle separation.
Tummy Tuck:
- Purpose: Removes excess fat and skin and can repair separated abdominal muscles (diastasis recti).
- Best For: Individuals with loose, sagging skin or stretched muscles, often after pregnancy or significant weight loss.
- Recovery: Longer recovery time with more extensive scarring.
- Results: Provides a more comprehensive reshaping of the abdomen.
- Combined Approach: In some cases, both procedures may be combined for optimal results, especially if you have excess fat and loose skin.
Considerations:
- Health and Medical History: Your overall health and medical history play a crucial role in determining the appropriate procedure.
- Expectations: Understanding the limitations and outcomes of each procedure is essential.
- Consultation with a Professional: A consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon is vital. They can assess your body, discuss your goals, and recommend the best approach.
- Lifestyle Factors: Long-term results from either procedure are best maintained with a stable weight, a healthy diet, and regular exercise.
Both liposuction and tummy tucks can significantly improve body contours, but they address different issues and have different recovery processes and risks. Your decision should be based on your specific needs, desired outcomes, and professional medical advice.
Can Liposuction Make Me Thinner?
Liposuction alone is not an adequate weight loss method. It is not realistic to expect an effortless method to make a person fit and slim. The patient will assuredly lose some weight after the surgery, that is for sure.
A predetermined amount of fat will be removed from the predetermined regions with liposuction so that there are no surprises after the surgery. Liposuction is an easy procedure for the patient with satisfactory results.
Is Liposuction Harmful? Is There A Risk of Death?
Liposuction is harmless. Unless there is an unexpected complication, the operation will be completed smoothly at the hands of an expert surgeon. There is no risk of death. Of course, it is not possible to predict every potential bodily response to every condition, and it is possible that rarely, a patient will die due to such complications. However, I have never encountered a case of death in my years as a surgeon both around the world and in Turkey, nor have I heard a colleague perform an operation that resulted in death.
Who can perform liposuction?
Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure and needs to be performed by a cosmetic surgeon. Please avoid having a cosmetic procedure performed by a physician of any other branch. This is a difficult and highly technical procedure. It is especially important to recognize the “medical estheticians” and avoid their services, especially if they are not medical doctors. These operations cannot be learned “on the job” and “through years of experience” but require extensive medical and theoretical background and education. Please do not decide for an operation without consulting with a cosmetic surgeon first. Liposuction Surgery in Turkey
Do liposuction procedures need to be periodically repeated?
This condition will not require corrections and follow-ups every other year like filler injections might. A region that is treated with liposuction will not require re-operation. However, we will always leave some fat tissue on the treated region for the health of the body. This will allow the body to deposit fat to that region, but it will never return to its pre-treatment condition.
It is medically viable to apply liposuction to the same region after some time, if necessary. We recommend a healthy diet to our patients after liposuction in order to prevent recurrence. Avoiding junk food is significantly helpful in eliminating fat.
Liposuction Prices
The cost of liposuction is determined by the size of the operated region and the amount of fat that needs to be removed. Please consult our clinic for an examination for us to provide you with an accurate price estimate. We prefer to communicate with our patients in person to better understand their needs and plan the most appropriate intervention.
